Operation Push button Camp
I just came back from our very 1st ns camp! The camp is from sat 061208-081208. It was held at Costa Sands Resort and SAF Seaview Resort--Changi Haven.
The 1st day i was late as i was confined, because a mag went missing, then there's stand by bed for very long. I was also very shag, as consecutive 3 days i had runs, Thur i had AGR, Fri, Interval, sat i had IPPT, which i was awarded GOLD!
Hence, i reached only when they had BBQ. Heard that the camp commander and games master each was tau pok and got MUDBATH! Met alot of new frens and ate alot. Some how i was been targeted to be thrown in the sand.
The 2nd day, we woke up on 6.30am to do QT, then went for some Fun Run in our various vocational pt, at 7.30am which lasted 20min. Then we had breakfast and fellowship till 11am, before setting out for 4hours of games. Balloons, blindfolds, poison balls, treasure hunt and water bombs. In the process i was MUDBATHED. The mud is so sticky that though we try to wash in the sea, there are still alot of stains. Actually, i managed to escape alot of attempts of 'tau poks' and 'mud/sand bath'. But ultimately, i was captured and pinned. So, when im down, i made sure alot ppl went down with me.
After a good long shower, we had lunch until workshop. That's when i realised im terribly sun burnt and injured from 2 days of struggles. The shepherd workshop is the 1st spiritual input, which i learnt much. Like always use the WOG, as it is my only source of authority. We role play and shared testimonies. Can tell everyone was quite shag already. Next we had dinner before going for our very own service.
We LORRIED there. It was a new experience for many pampered youths who only witnessed Bangadeshi workers did that. It was amazing to note that P n W can be carried out without drums. Jie Hui shared a msg regarding waging spiritual warfare, and many responded to the 3 altar calls. Talked with Elvin, Tim's fren till very late, before going back as the last batch.
Then we had dinner at Mac, thank God for the 24hr concept. Then the Poly ppl made me eat some disgusting mix, because i lost in a number game. Waited for joel, till i slept. The nex day, we left soon aft breakfast. However, i wrestled with ys and coy while watching amazing race..
After reaching haven, we had a evax teaching before going for lunch. Joshua came talked with us, saying our spilting plans. At the end of this year we are going independent as a tertiary service. It sounded so exciting la, but means alot of moving abt too.
Lunch at Changi V was fantastic, as i was fasting before camp. One should patronish there often, as they really had good food.
