From Apr 8 through till may 1st, i went to Taiwan with the army. It was quite a meaningful trip, as there are a lot of significance to train there, given the mountainous terrain. I had a great time there, too. The weather is very much cooler compared to Singapore, because of its low humidity. The food is also awesome! As for the lot of girls, according to my friends, they are more good looking and especially kinder. Given a chance, i will go back there again.

Anyway, i wanna blog about some experiences that are unforgettable. I had 1 near death experience, that's when we were walking on some dried up river bed in the middle of night. You see, Taiwan nights are much darker than our nation, as there are lesser street lamps. So we came across some wild buffaloes on our way. Initially, we wanted to walked passed their sides, but they escaped to the left. However, it was inaccessible, so they detour to the right, but a calf was left behind and it cried. The parents, i suppose, reversed and began to charge at us. Hence, we fled for our lives. I tried to climb up some steep slope, as we were in a valley.
Thankfully, those beasts missed us, perhaps, due to their huge weight and size--not agile to change directions. Mind you, they DO have horns and one of their head is as big as a lorry's fearsome front.

Well, i do have another dying experience. During some mission, i was trying to escape from my enemies. In my attempt of not being captured, we decided to head to some deep ravine and climbed to our hiding place. Unfortunately, it was too sandy and steep to even climb on all fours. So i decided to give up and use the convention method--walk by the road. As it was equally slippery to get down, somehow, i flew from a height of 3 storeys and landed face down. There were a slience of 3s from me, as I was too stunned to respond to my friend's worried plea. During that time, i was assessing my injuries, and praying that my head dont bleed, as it's going to be messy. Once again, God blessed me. I was ok, except some deep bruises on my limbs.

There was a whirlpool of thoughts running through my mind, throughout the trip. Thoughts of being lonely, betrayed and some delighted moments constantly flooded my mind. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation, plus 3days and 3 nights R n R is simply awesome.
